FarmSurge FarmSurge is an aggregator business model customized for agriculture sector- allowing farmers to find, connect, share, buy and sell all farm needs. It aims to create direct links for farmers with agribusiness, scientists or agro researchers.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are open to all innovations that use the India Stack to unlock new business models or reach previously underserved new customer segments across sectors such as financial services, education, healthcare and others. Some core focus areas for the competition may include digital lending and supporting activities, such as alternative credit scoring; sector specific affordable digital finance services such as health insurance or education loans; sector specific digital services such as skilling and certification, property registration agreements, patient-centric healthcare management; and SaaS platforms “as a service” that support the development of other India Stack based innovations such as Digi-locker or e-sign providers.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

All applicants should:

  • Meet the 3-point criteria: tech enabled, leveraging India Stack Platform and serving the underserved
  • Form a team of two (minimum) to four (maximum) members who will pitch, including at least one founder of the company
  • Be early stage start-ups that have received only seed (or limited angel) funding, if at all

Finalists will be selected for the final round being held in Bangalore following an intensive search and selection process. Details for the final round will be shared with the selected participants at a later stage.

What is India Stack?

India Stack is the largest application programming interface (API) in the world supported by an open API policy by the government. The stack is a new technology paradigm that is scalable to handle massive data inflows, and is poised to enable entrepreneurs, citizens and governments to interact with each other transparently, creating an ecosystem to develop innovative ideas to serve the 1.1 billion people on the platform, specifically the BOP population
